Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for our private education loan, you must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an approved school‡ and a member of Members 1st Federal Credit Union. You may apply without being a member of the credit union, but you will need to become a member in order for the loan to be funded. Be sure to review all eligibility requirements.

 ◊◊ Fixed Rate Option: the repayment schedule is fixed at 10 years regardless of the amount you borrow. Full repayment begins at the end of the grace period, unless full repayment is selected during enrollment.
